This feature is available in Advanced and Premium Packages.

ContestPad allows you to create paginated forms. This is especially helpful if you are collecting lots of information from your entrants.

When pages are added, validation of form inputs (e.g. mandatory fields) happen before moving to the next page. This ensures completeness prior to moving to the next step.

Pagination also allows you to show and hide pages based on pagination rules. This is covered in another article.

To add pagination select "Manage" for the entry form you want to add pages to:

Once you have opened your form select the "Add" button and then select "Add Page Break".

This will open the page break configuration form. Give the page break a name to identify your page name (note this is not displayed in the front end website).

Then select whether you want this page hidden. If you select ON for the hidden flag then all fields within this page will not be visible and the page will be skipped when paginating.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You cannot include core mandatory fields within a hidden page such as the Title fields as these must be entered in by the entrant. If a core mandatory field is attempted to be moved to a hidden page or a hidden page is moved to include a core mandatory field then an error will be displayed and the move will be reverted.

Setting a page to Hidden is useful when using Pagination rules.

Once the page is created (it will be added to the bottom by default) then it can be moved to anywhere in the form to create a new page break.
