ContestPad collects all votes into the voting table. This table will display information collected about the voter including email address, IP address, whether they have opted into communications, the entry they have voted for, etc.

The details of each vote will only be displayed once they have been validated.
In order to be validated the voter need to authenticate themselves (e.g. via email, social, IP address, etc.) and the voting rules complied with.
Once the vote is accepted it is registered in the "Validated Votes" tab.

Exporting votes

Often there is a requirement to do some analysis of vote data or to collect email addresses for marketing lists, etc. All data can be exported to CSV by selecting the "Export to CSV" button.

Removing votes

If votes have been submitted as part of the testing of the contest or if fraudulent or other miss voting has occurred, votes can be invalidated and removed from the entry vote count.

There are two ways to accomplish this.

Remove individual votes: You can removed individual votes by selecting the vote via the selection box for each vote or selecting the all visible votes selection box at the top of the table.

Once selected go to the tools menu and select "Remove selected".

This will invalidate the selected votes and place them in the Removed Votes table.

Remove from list
If you need to remove a large list of votes you can do this by importing a CSV file which contains a list of all the votes you would like to remove. To do this go to the Tools menu and select the "Remove from file list" option.
Once this is selected a dialog box will appear which will ask for you to upload a CSV file with all the votes you would like removed.

The format of the CSV file should be in the same format as the exported votes CSV file however it should contain only the votes that you would like to remove.

Once uploaded the votes entries in the file will be removed and placed in the "Removed Votes" table.

Undeleting votes

In the case where you would like to undelete (revalidate) votes that have been removed previously go to the "Removed Votes" table and select the Tools menu.

Undelete individual votes: You can undelete individual votes by selecting the vote via the selection box for each vote or selecting the all visible votes selection box at the top of the table.

Once selected go to the tools menu and select "Undelete selected". The votes will then be placed back into the "Validated Votes" table and registered against each entry.

Undelete from file list
If you need to undelete a large list of votes you can do this by importing a CSV file which contains a list of all the votes you would like to undelete. To do this go to the Tools menu and select the "Undelete from file list" option.
Once this is selected a dialog box will appear which will ask for you to upload a CSV file with all the votes you would like undeleted.

The format of the CSV file should be in the same format as the exported votes CSV file however it should contain only the votes that you would like to undelete.

Once uploaded the vote entries in the file will be undeleted and placed in the "Validated Votes" table.
